Community Guidelines

Our mission is to give you, awesome students of the world, the power to share your knowledge with other students in a safe and fun place.

To keep this well-oiled educational machine running smoothly, we've defined a set of Community Guidelines. These practices will help you understand what type of sharing (i.e. questions, answers, comments, and messages) is allowed on Brainly, and what type of content is frowned upon and may be reported and removed.

Our community is as diverse as it is intelligent and awesome, so please remember to be an outstanding citizen, and always be kind, humble, and polite. Do your part to keep Brainly a safe and welcoming community that encourages free thinking, sharing, and academic achievement.

By using Brainly, you agree that you will:

Help us keep Brainly a safe and clean place for everyone.
We ask everyone to play by the rules. If you wouldn’t want your parents to see it, don’t post it! Always be kind and respectful to other users, and never bully, harass, or intimidate anyone else on Brainly.

You can also do your part to report all content or behavior from other users that appears to be inappropriate, suspicious, or abusive.

Brainly is all about being creative in terms of studying and social interaction; this is how you learn more with Brainly every single day. Remember the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you would like to be treated.

Encourage other users’ good behavior.
Be nice. Be respectful. Users should not make personal attacks or otherwise discredit other users or their work on Brainly. They should be respectful and considerate and assume that other people on the site are also trying to make it a great source for learning.

This means respecting different opinions, beliefs, and conclusions, trying to listen to and understand those you may disagree with, and encouraging others on the site to do the same.

Keep your account and personal information safe.
We do all we can in terms of protecting your privacy and private information, but we need your help. Do not share any of your personal information, including your name, age, address, phone number, email address, or school name (collectively, your Personal Information).

Your Personal Information should never be included in your questions, answers, comments, or messages.

Keep content quality high.
Our goal is to ensure that questions, answers, and comments do not discourage or intimidate other people on Brainly. We strive for all content to be of high quality.

Don’t spam. Posting links to your social media profiles, or advertising other sites and products just isn’t okay here.

Don’t post questions or answers that aren’t related to learningPosting joke questions, silly answers, or answering questions just to get points doesn’t help you or other Brainly users to learn… so don’t do it.

Also, we’re all about making friends on Brainly, but when it comes to asking personal questions, message a friend instead!

Don’t cheat. Posting questions from a quiz, test, or any other assessment is not allowed. Brainly is here to help you with your homework, but you’re on your own with tests, or any assignments that your teacher has asked you to do on your own.

Don’t plagiarize. Copying answers from another website, user, or any other source is strictly forbidden.

Don’t link to other sites, either. If you want to cite a source in your answer, just include its name.

Don’t post answers that you know are wrong. You should always strive to help other students... not confuse them!

Always answer thoughtfully. When you answer questions, try to be as clear and thorough as possible. The goal is to help someone else learn, so they’ll need a great explanation in order to understand.

What happens if you break the rules?
Content that violates our Community Guidelines may be reported to and removed by Moderators and Admins. Violations of this policy can result in a warning, comment blocking, or a ban.

The first time a user breaks the rules, they will typically get a warning. However, if unacceptable behavior continues, users will be locked out of using Brainly for various lengths of time depending on the severity of the infringement. Time locks range from 15 minutes to up to 2 days and, in serious cases, Brainly has the right to delete a user account indefinitely.

Now, go on: start asking, answering, learning and, most importantly, have fun!
